Night is Day - Main Cast

Chris is from Paisley and studied at Reid Kerr College in Paisley. Chris is 23, funny, intelligent and a great actor. A real rising talent. With experience in film, TV and the theatre, Chris is a great addition to the cast. It should also be noted that Chris is a really funny guy with a great sense of humour.

Chris' Character - Jason Mackenzie
Jason is in his early twenties and has lived in Glasgow all of his life. Just a year before the series starts, Jason is struck down by a car and is left in the hospital with broken legs. Slightly after that his girlfriend is tragically killed in an accident. Realising that his luck needs to change, Jason finds a powerful man called Ames who agree to give Jason the power of foresight to prevent him from suffering any more tragedies. However, now whenever Jason touches anybody, a force of electricity charges up in his body, and that passes into the person he touches. Jason also has painful visions of how that person is going to die and he must decide if he is strong enough to prevent their death. This of course means that Jason can never be physically close to anybody again. The path of the hero is never straight forward.

Shian, 22, is from Edinburgh and has starred in many theatre shows throughout her career as an actress. Talented, versatile and with a good sense of humour, Shian will bring a good energy to the production.

Shian's Character - Amy Campbell
Amy is a sweet girl who has just turned twenty. Raised in Glasgow, Amy is an aspiring journalist and writer who attends a local college. Always dreaming about finding her knight in shining armour, Amy is rescued by Jason when she is attacked by a thug when she is coming home from work. The attack would had led to Amy being killed but Jason saves her in time. Amy manages to track Jason down and he tells her about himself. Amy insists on paying Jason back for saving her life by patching him up whenever she can. The journalist in her makes her want to know more about the mysterious Jason and believes he is one of the few good guys left in the city.

Tam is another actor from Paisley who has starred in TV and Film. As well as being a talented singer/songwriter, Tam is a versatile actor with great experience to play the role of the sophisticated and villianous Mr. Philips.

Tam's Character - Mr. Philips
The big bad - Mr. Philips runs everything in the city and his empire is growing. Power is the most important thing to this man. But he is sophisticated and intelligent and simply wants a better life for himself and he has worked very hard to get to where he is today, but he does believe in taking short cuts to get there. Everything is good in his life until Jason's actions cause him to change some of his plans. Mr. Philips soon becomes obsessed with Jason and will do anything to find out what makes him tick. Mr. Philips has been responsible for a lot of pain and heartache but he has never been caught before.

Colin is from Ayr and is another experienced actor in TV, Film and the theatre. After auditioning for another project for Silly Wee Films, Colin showed great skill and is perfect for the role of DCI Sloan.

Colin's Character - Detective Chief Inspector Sloan
A brave man, Sloan is in his forties and is part of a great line of detectives in the city of Glasgow and he will do anything to keep the streets safe for his family and friends. Never satisfied about the dismissal of Mr. Philips' connections to incidents and gangs, Sloan secretly investigates Mr. Philip's activities. At first he isn't sure of Jason's motives and would very much like to question him to see where his allegiances lie. Sloan likes to play by the books, and isn't keen on a rouge vigilante roaming the streets.

Steven is from Greenock in Inverclyde and he runs his own business. Steven has been acting for a few years and he has a Degree in Drama from the Bay State College, MA, USA. Steven has credits on stage and in film. He is excellent as the bad tempered, aggressive Mullan.

Steven's Character - Detective Inspector Mullan
DI Mullan is a younger man, assigned to work with Sloan after being transferred to the department due to his violent behaviour in his previous department. Hoping that Sloan will calm his behaviour, Mullan has no intention of calming down. Mullan is a bit of a vigilante himself and would very much like to work with Jason to help crack down on Mr. Philips' reign of crime and terror.
