Jessica Taylor guest stars in episode 3 as CS McDonald, Mullan and Sloan’s superior
Another weekend down, another successful shoot for series 2! Filming started in Saturday afternoon in Rab Ha’s in Merchant city, Glasgow, where Scott Campbell (Scott Marshall) meets with Arron Usher’s character, Mr. Alexander, and the two make a suspicious exchange…
Yesterday we travelled to Greenock to film an office scene for episode 2, which saw Mullan meet up with his newly promoted boss, Superintendent Sloan, as they discussed the activities of a certain villain and lightning vigilante! Obviously I can’t give too much away here….
From Greenock the Night is Day convoy travelled BACK to Glasgow, this time to the Citizen’s Theatre Carpark which doubled at the Police station’s carpark! We were joined on set then by Jessica Taylor who is playing the new superintendent of the force, CS McDonald. We also were joined by Kelly Machin who is our new production assistant, Michelle joined us to resume her camera assistant duties and Ian McFarlane was on hand to take stills for behind the scenes and promotional purposes.
We filmed 2 scenes from episode 2, including a top-secret finale to the episode, and we also filmed the opening scene of episode 3. The scenes were tense, and the actors pulled them off brilliantly. Although off camera everybody still had a great time and we got the job done and managed to wrap early.
Our next block of filming is the 21st and 22nd where we should hopefully wrap filming episode 2. Next weekend we have our first big fight rehearsal for the fight scenes in episodes 2 and 3 which will be great fun and will no doubt look great on screen!
Expect more updates and pictures soon!
