BBC SCOTLAND RADIO INTERVIEWS - AUDITIONS THIS MONTH - SCI-FI SERIES FILMING IN MAY
It’s all kicking off now! “Night is Day”, our sci-fi series, will start filming it’s second series in May 10th 2008 in Glasgow! The primary cast from series 1 are returning as well as a few guest appearances from some characters that you might have thought you’ve seen the last of in the finale of series 1.
We promise that there will be more action-packed scenes and each of our main characters are going to be faced with some majorly tough decisions and they will be put in heart-pounding danger! Chris Somerville, who plays our hero Jason is going to be really put through it all this season! Jason will meet Caitlyn, a fellow superhero like himself, who has the powers to heal whoever she touches, Lexi, a gorgeous vampire who may help or hinder his mission in finding Amy, and Tara and Boyd, super villains for hire, who Mr. Philips employs to retrieve something very important…and let’s not forget a tense family reunion when Jason’s brother Michael comes to town…
And that’s just the first 3 episodes of series 2!
This thursday (the 13th of March!) Eileen Young, who plays Sakura in series 1 and 2, Chris Somerville and myself will be going to BBC Scotland in Glasgow for an interview on Radio Café, Radio Scotland’s arts and media review show. Chris and myself had the great pleasure of being interviewed on that show last year so it’s a great honour to get invited back. Hopefully we’ll get to plug the series 1 DVD and give some info on our exciting second series.
Then on Saturday we have our first round of auditions to fill the 12 new characters who will be appearing this time around, and the auditions will conclude on the 22nd of March. We’ve packed out the audition slots! We literally have no room left so if need be we’ll need a THIRD day of auditions!
We’ve also approached a few well known, big-named actors and media type people to guest star throughout series 2…I don’t want to name names at this stage but we’ll keep you posted.
We also recently went up in a helicopter to film arial shots of Glasgow to be used in the series and we’ll be going up again in the summer to film more!
We still of course need everybody’s help! Whether it be spreading the word, buying the DVD, or donating money to help us fund series 2, everything helps! So get in touch!
