PICKUP FILMING DAYS - EPISODE 1 WRAPPED!

That’s pretty much it! 4 days into filming and episode 1, “Cult”, is pretty much wrapped, all of the scenes we need at this stage are on tape and slowly but surely making it into my computer as I edit the scenes, sync up the sound, make sure it all flows properly and pretty soon we’ll have a rough edit ready to show key members of the production team. Once changes have been made then, the scenes that require special effects will be sent to our special effects team, and from there the episode goes to our sound engineers who will tidy up the sound, add in special sound effects and then it goes off to Steve Dunster who will finish it all off with his score!

Filming took us back to the 13th Note yesterday where we re-filmed some scenes because they were too dark. Mike Webster, who works at NuArts in Glasgow joined the team yesterday as our director of photography to light the scenes and helped me guide the action as once again Eileen had to throw Crawford through the air on to the crash mats below.

We then finished the day back in the house and filmed a scene where Mr. Philips seeks out an old friend to seek out some help. It was Tam Toye’s first day back on set as the evil Mr. Philips and it was certainly great to see him back in action.

We’ve got a busy month ahead of us as we start filming episodes 2 and 3 on the 7th and 8th of June, on the 14th of June we have fight rehearsals and co-ordinations with Carter Ferguson at G12 in Glasgow and to wrap the month off on the 21st and 22nd we should complete filming on episode 2 and not every character is going to make it to the end…
