EPISODE 5 - KYM HUYNH - SERIES 2 CASTING
The 5th episode of our Scottish web series is about to be released online now that our fantastic composer, Steve Dunster has sent me the final additions to the score for the episode. Episode 5 sees Jason still reeling from being unable to save an innocent person from death, and throws himself back into the mean streets of Glasgow in an attempt to redeem himself. Meanwhile Amy, still angry and scared from witnesses Jason’s powers at their most horrible, takes solace in her friend Sarah where she has a heart to heart with her friend and tries to make sense of our life now that she is falling for a superhero.
As pre-production for series 2 ramps up with the intent to start filming in May we have had 100 of actors from all over the UK email us their applications, wanting to audition for the new characters we are introducing in the next 6 part series. We hope to start the auditions in March, casting the most crucial new characters in April. We’ve got gangsters, demons, vampires, police detectives, love interests, good guys and bad guys to find for Jason to face up against in series 2.
Kym Huynh, an established singer/songwriter based in Australia, is currently in negotiations to write and perform some songs for the next series. Kym is a fan of the show as he found us while searching the internet and signed up to watch all of series 1. We hope to add snippets of Kym’s songs for the series to the site once pre-production has properly started.
Episodes 1 and 2, titled “Cults” and “Choices”, have already been written and they will last around 25 minutes each, and episode 3, “Family”, is now being written. A first draft of the 6 episodes will be complete before the auditions start in May so our production team can make as many preperations as possible before filming.
