Funding Night is Day The Web Series

"Night is Day: The Web Series" is a self-funded low budget independent production. It is Scotland's first sci-fi series about Jason Mackenzie, Glasgow's superhero. We have made this series without the support of a film funding organisation.

The cast and crew are only being paid for their travelling expenses and food and we will raise money through the website as our audience grows and people pay to watch each episode of the series.

We spent just £2000 making the first series and none of our cast or crew were paid for their services but we will be honouring their travelling expenses as soon as we make back the £2000 back. When the 6 episodes are edited together they last over an hour and a half, making it feature length. Low budget feature films of this quality and standard usually cost at least £20,000 to make.

If you would like to sponsor us for the value of £100 or more then this will help us pay back our cast and crew, pay for our premier in June at the Glasgow Film Festival and seek a DVD distribution deal to help us fund series 2.

You will be credited on the series 1 DVD, as well as on our website and you will receive a certificate of being an Associate Producer on the series.

We will then take our 6 episodes to a funding organisation and hopefully fund a second series. We will also send it to every production company possible in hope that we will be comissioned to make a 2nd series to be shown on a cable channel or be sold in the shops.

The goal of the series is to prove that Scotland can do more than just depressing dramas or shlock horror films and we can produce quality drama programmes with a respectable budget.
