While Jason is being patched up by Amy, a young writer who he saved just hours earlier, he recounts to her how he came to be a vigilante, swearing to protect the innocent from being killed.

Episode 4
An angry DCI Sloan is relieved when his partner DI Mullan tracks down a connection to Mr. Philips and interrogates them outside the police station, but they aren't going to like what they hear. Meanwhile, Jason has a lot of explaining to do when asked about his powers, and when he is forced to use his powers in public, a mysterious girl watches from a far. Will she present more danger to Jason?

Episode 5
Sloan slips deep into depression while trying to deal with the death of someone close to him, while Mullan has his own personal problems to deal with. Jason is still reeling over his argument with Amy and goes to the streets determined to use his powers properly. Meanwhile Mr. Philips takes another step closer to his sinister plans.

Episode 6
Martin Compston of "Sweet Sixteen" and "Monarch of the Glen" fame, guest stars in the season finale as Mr. Philips and Marcus, his life-long friend and business partner, move the final pieces into position for their evil cunning plan, while Jason his haunted by a terrifying vision of the future which sees the city facing devastation and terror. Amy is told that she has the chance to work with a major newspaper in London, leaving her to decide if her career is more important than her feelings for Jason. Mullan confronts Sloan over his drinking and an old enemy returns to change Jason's life forever.
